Lake Challenge Grant PDF Print E-mail

The Earl Bane Foundation of Salina has challenged us to raise $30,000 by March 2011 to obtain their generous grant of $20,000 to develop a lake on the property.  As an example, this means your gift of $3,000 provides $5,000 to the lake project.  For years we have prayed and dreamed about having a lake at Camp Tomah Shinga. With the Earl Bane Foundation’s help, our dream is within reach! More than $4,000 has been committed to this challenge already!

A highlight of attending camp is the opportunity to engage in water activities.  For many young people, camp is the place where they catch their first fish, learn to paddle a canoe and gain an appreciation for the beauty of God’s creation.  Our new lake will be four acres and will support boating, fishing and lots of other fun water activities.

By doubling your gift, you will improve the lives of young people as you make possible a life-changing camp experience that introduces them to the wonder of water activities.  Please send a gift today to help young people experience the best week of their summer at Camp Tomah Shinga.
